Performance Improvement Services

Typically, clients first start with the “Performance Improvement Service.” Adventure Solutions Group's "Performance Improvement Service" involves a short-term agreement, usually for a 30-day timeframe, in which Mr. Emison immerses himself in the organization and reviews all facets of the business.

Once complete, Mr. Emison provides a detailed report of his findings and provides his roadmap on how to address problem areas. Once the roadmap action items are implemented by the company, which Mr. Emison very much enjoys assisting in implementing, clients often see positive results within six (6) months.

Although not required, in most cases, the client hires Mr. Emison to implement the roadmap across the entire organization and complete his recommended changes.

Mr. Emision typically submerses himself in the corporation and goes to each location/department to complete the action items. This is called the “Turnaround Services” package, and it is the most active and submerged approach. However, clients may also choose to hire Mr. Emison for a more passive role with our “Advisory Services” package to provide more passive guidance and advice.

Strategy

Turnaround Services

Adventure Solutions Group’s “Turnaround Services” is without question an aggressive approach for dealing with an underperforming entity. Mr. Emison is typically hired to perform this service when the corporation has had multiple quarters or years of losses, is nearing insolvency or has recently exited some form of financial restructuring. Based on the severity the corporation is facing, this service typically consists of a longer time frame (ranging between 12 and 18 months). In this situation, while working with the ownership group, Mr. Emison takes control of the day-to-day activities and starts the process of turning around the entity.

Mr. Emison’s objective is to help the organization’s shareholders turn the entity around, help ensure it has the right management team, and prepare that management team to resume the day-to-day activities. When there’s evidence, these core objectives are fulfilled; a transitional plan is created to allow for Mr. Emison’s exit the organization.

To date, Mr. Emison has successfully turned around nine (9) separate entities in seven (7) different markets located throughout North America.

The subject organizations included the following:

  • Gray Line of Toronto
  • Gray Line of Ottawa
  • Olde Town Tours – Toronto
  • Gray Line of Las Vegas
  • Gray Line of Seattle
  • Gray Line of Victoria
  • San Francisco Sightseeing Company formally Gray Line of San Francisco
  • Pink Jeep Tours
